an interesting fact I just descovered recently... It is very VERY hard to model without an idea.

Try your luck at modelling something that you know most about. ie.. your <hysical> desktop. a piece of stationary..

Or do some concept sketches on what you want to make.

Or do what I do, and gather technical info on something off the net.\

Hey, thanx for the fav. Well, I'm going to the Art Institute of Houston for Media Art and Animation, which is mainly 3d animation, but we do everything from 2d cel animation using Flash and Director, to sound work , to video production and effects using After Effects. You also learn Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, stuff like that. The main 3d programs you learn here are 3ds max and Maya. I mainly use 3ds max, but I screw around with Z-brush and use that from time to time; the Deimos piece in my gallery was modeled in 3ds max, then taken into Z-brush for example.

It's a kickazz field to get into! If you got any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer.

alright. first of all, learn how to spell. secondly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. this is MY ART and MY EXPRESSION. i didnt say you had to agree with it, but you should at least respect it as such. as for this soft-core porn comment, a girl cant wear a tube top? if baring shoulders is soft-core, i cant imagine what you think of when you visit a beach. just because the blurb has 'naked' in it, doesnt mean that i was, or am. i FEEL naked. big difference there guy. but if you are unable to grasp that concept, i think it's best you not visit my site anymore and keep your opinions about these things to yourself.
